The 2012 Pegasus Airlines PWA World Cup in Alacati, Turkey! You can’t miss this event; it’s for sure the most amazing stop on the tour. Super hot sun, crystal clear water, stonking winds and a really short and radical course making the first gybe absolute carnage as you can see in some of the pics! I managed to survive relatively unscathed from too many crashes but it wasn’t my best result – a little too burnt out from racing at the FW World Championships the day before this event started which made it difficult to recover. Still, we had plenty of fun and I stayed a couple of extra days to film Episode 2 of my ‘AROUND’ video series for Star-Board, which will feature the fantastic Çağla Kubat and Jimmy Diaz.
